$how Me the MoneyA couple years ago MCFUSE had a lot of fun posting a page on our website called “$how Me the Money”. This page documented several years of Central Office administrator pay raises. (It’s still there, you can check it out under GMCS, Past Issues, Central Office Salaries.) Then for the 2002/03 school year, the School Board rolled back all salary schedules 2.5%. This meant that the 2002/03 salaries for all employees were identical to the 2001/02 school year. At least that’s what the public was told at a School Board meeting. So that means that this year all Central Office salaries should be 3% higher than what they were for 2001/02. That’s 3% for all employees not on the teacher salary schedule, right? At least that’s what the governor signed. What the Superintendent and the School Board signed is another story.
* Blank means the person was not in the position. ** Promoted from C&I Director to C&I Ass/Supe. ***We asked for her current salary, but it was not provided. So we checked what she said at the School Board meeting on June 2, 2003. She said it was $113,300. Then we checked her contract signed on June 2, 2003; it says $110,000. Then we checked the draft budget – that’s the one Mr. Samford and Dr. Tempest refused to make public at the June 16, 2003 School Board meeting. It said $115,175. We noticed some other strange things in her contract, but that’s a story for Eyes on the Board.
